Miscellaneous Schtuffs

These are just a few things that've popped up along the way in my costuming (mis)adventures that I thought might be of interest but that didn't really go anywhere else...

This is the Rubies Cats Hood, an alternative that can be used for a cats wig (works great for just about every character except those that need really boufy wigs). With some alterring can be made to look quite decent, shown is one I did... For a nice step-by-step set of instructions on a good method of alteration for this piece, visit Marzupial. These are available at costume stores for between $15-$30 (though I've heard that Rubies has discontinued this particular kit; there is a new one with a similar hood & mits + leotard & tail but I don't know how much it is or where its available just yet) or you can order a kit from ADA Discount Dancewear for $18

This is a video-style Victoria make up chart I drew up that someone once requested. Anybody who wants to use it, feel free :)

Video-style Munkustrap make up chart, same deal as above.

Several people have asked what exactly Marvey Fabric Markers are (you'll see them suggested on many costume sites and brought up at the costuming board, etc...) so... If you're one of those people: here ya go ;) This is the large size, you'll need between 3-5 to colour a unitard more or less solid, depending on how intense you want your colour. Depending on the angle you work at they can either give a thick, brush-stroke type line or a fine line. They also come in a smaller variety for more detailed work, and average about $3.99/each for the large & $2.50 for the small (prices given in CAD)
