"Crazy Cat"

For a long time I couldn't think what to name this cat... now I'm hoverring between Clopin (after the king of the gypsies from The Hunchback of Notre Dame by Victor Hugo) and Quidam (french word meaning a misceivous person or a theif... also the name of the lil green goblin-thing mascot of the Just For Laughs festival in Montreal)... I still haven't decided if the character is male or female yet either, or maybe its androgynous? hehe Time shall tell? ;)

This costume came together as follows:

Makeup:
The make-up design is a lil hokey, but i made it up on the fly; trying to thing of something that would suit that 'tard and the white(ish) wig.... finally came up with a sort of Alonzo-Tumble-semi-femme but with ochre & brown inplace of those char's colours.... I used Ben Nye white creme-cake for the base as usual, ben nye ochre creme-pot for the ocre and cheap black, white & brown stuff from the tube for a bit of blending & detail; applied with a make up sponge and a brush...

Wig:
The wig is a genuine yak-hair Victoria wig from Broadway, by the style I'd say fairly early into the production... There is a fine mesh around the edges where it can be adhered to the face, i used spirit gum to do this.

Unitard:
The unitard is also a genuine article from Broadway, Alonzo's... I think a good part of putting this costume together was wanting to show off this BEAUTIFUL unitard, I just adore the markings on it...

Warmers, Shoes & Tail:
These were all peices of the Jellylorum costume I was working on at the time. For more info on them see here...
